There are four clinics in Norway, located in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger and Arendal.
At the clinics, a dedicated team of doctors, dietitians, physical activity advisors, therapists (Gestalt Therapists) and medical assistants all work together to provide patients with the best possible treatment.
The aim of Dr. Lindberg’s clinics is to provide the best treatment to patients who are obese, in danger of becoming obese,
or who have other lifestyle-associated conditions or diseases. We know that diet, physical activity, stress levels and self-motivation
need to be in balance in order to achieve optimal health. Consequently, we strive to incorporate these elements into our treatment.
Hormones are linked to obesity, sickness and disease
Your body responds to the food you eat by producing hormones, and a balance of these hormones in your body is essential for
health. The two hormones, insulin and glucagon are important to your metabolism, since they regulate the blood sugar levels
in your body. A high concentration of insulin in your body will cause your metabolism to store fat and prevent your body from
utilizing fat that is already stored. Insulin will also increase your appetite. All this can eventually lead to obesity. High
concentrations of insulin over time can also increase inflammatory processes in your body and thus have a negative impact
on conditions such as asthma, allergies, rheumatism, psoriasis and gout.
Specialized in using dietary treatment of sickness and disease
The multi-disciplinary teams at Dr. Lindberg’s clinics have a great deal of experience in diagnosing and treating internal
medical and hormonal disorders such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular and lipid disorders. Among the hormonal conditions
that have been treated successfully at the clinic are: PCOS, asthma, allergies, psoriasis, fibromyalgia, rheumatism, gout,
lipid disturbances, insulin resistance, diabetes and high blood pressure. Furthermore, several patients with stomach/digestive
complaints and patients who are underweight have also responded well to the treatment.
